Light Matter 2022
Assistant Professor of Art History James Hansen and Associate Professor of Video Art Eric Souther co-programmed and presented the 2022 Light Matter Film Festival from November 4-6 in Holmes Auditorium. Showcasing 70 experimental films and media arts works from over 20 countries, Light Matter was proud to welcome legendary avant-garde filmmaker Larry Gottheim for two programs, including the World Premiere of his new video Entanglement.
Over the course of eight programs, Light Matter 2022 welcomed over 300 audience members who traveled from across the country to be in Alfred.
Professor Hansen wants to thank the Dean's Office of the School of Art and Design, the Art History & Expanded Media Divisions, and the Institute for Electronic Arts for their support of the festival.
